Our client, a leading specialist within the ground engineering sector, is seeking a Design Estimator to join their growing team. This is a full-time position with the option for hybrid working, based from either Newark, Doncaster, or Essex. Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of tender designs and cost estimates for piled retaining walls and soil nailed slope solutions. This role will also involve developing client relationships from initial enquiry through to project award and beyond, contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tender designs and cost estimates for piled retaining walls and soil nailed slopes
  • Reviewing and interpreting client enquiries and technical documentation
  • Ensuring all estimates are commercially viable and aligned with company procedures
  • Supporting the securing of profitable and strategically beneficial work
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships from enquiry stage through to order
  • Attending client meetings and site visits across the UK as required
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure successful project handovers
  • Maintaining a strong customer-focused approach throughout all stages of the process
