Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: Β£16.64 per hour, increasing with experience

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join an established business within the powered access and MEWP industry. This is a hands-on role working on prototype and development machines, assembling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components and helping bring new products from design through to working machines.

The Role

  • Assemble prototype and development machines.
  • Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly.
  • Work from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work.
  • Identify and resolve build issues.
  • Support engineers with new product development and design changes.
  • Provide practical feedback to improve products.
  • Assist with testing and development of new equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

About You

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, engineering or manufacturing.
  • A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Practical experience with mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Confident use of hand and power tools.
  • Good practical problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience within plant, powered access, agricultural machinery, heavy machinery, vehicles or similar engineering environments would be advantageous.
