A well-established plant and equipment service provider is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to join its field operations team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on servicing plant machinery, primarily telehandlers, at customer sites. The position is ideal for a practical and motivated individual with transferable mechanical skills who enjoys working independently in the field. You will be based in the Market Harborough area and will cover customer sites across the Midlands while reporting into the Bedford depot. The role involves regular travel, planned service visits, and occasional depot support when required. Role Overview

  • Carry out servicing of plant equipment, primarily telehandlers, at customer sites
  • Complete approximately 10 customer visits per week
  • Accurately record all service and repair information (parts used, time, mileage, and photos via iPad/device)
  • Maintain stock levels of essential spare parts and request replacements when required
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding job progress or delays
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Support depot operations when required
  • Maintain a clean, organised van, tools, and working environment
