An opportunity has arisen with a well-established interior fit-out specialist seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to take a leading role in the operational and commercial delivery of the business. Founded in 2006 and backed by over 25 years of industry expertise at senior level, the company has built a strong name for quality, safety and reliable delivery across a broad range of interior packages.
Working for some of the UK's most respected principal contractors and fit-out companies, the business delivers suspended ceilings, drylining and partitions, glazed and demountable systems, acoustic solutions, doors and ironmongery across commercial, education, healthcare and public sector environments. This is a senior hire and a significant one. The business is growing and needs someone who can take ownership of projects and people, drive commercial performance and bring the kind of leadership that raises standards across the board. You will work closely with the Partners and play a key role in shaping the next phase of the company's development.

Job Overview
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery, commercial performance and quality of multiple concurrent contracts
- Lead and manage Site Managers and site teams, setting clear expectations on programme, quality and health and safety
- Own the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account, including cost control, valuations and variation management
- Act as the senior point of contact for clients, main contractors and consultants, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships
- Oversee procurement of subcontractors, materials and plant, ensuring best value and programme alignment
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications and scope documentation, identifying risks and opportunities at an early stage
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures across all sites
- Contribute to tender reviews, pre-construction planning and business development activity
- Report project performance, forecasts and risks clearly to the Partners and senior management
- Play an active role in the continued development of the business, its processes and its people
Requirements
- Substantial contracts management experience with a specialist subcontractor in drylining, partitions, ceilings or interior fit-out
- Strong track record managing multiple projects concurrently, from award through to final account
- Commercially sharp with solid experience in cost control, valuations, variations and subcontract management
- Proven ability to lead and develop site teams and manage client relationships at a senior level
- Good technical knowledge of drylining systems, partitioning, suspended ceilings and associated interior packages
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and CDM requirements
- Strong communicator and confident in a client-facing environment
- SMSTS or equivalent is desirable
- Full UK driving licence required
