We are currently recruiting for a Senior Architect to join an award-winning and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary practice based in Central Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with ambitious expansion plans and a strong pipeline of secured work across the Commercial, Residential, Care, Mixed-Use and High-Rise Residential sectors, delivering projects ranging from £2M to around £100M.

Currently employing around 75 professionals, the practice has clear ambitions of breaking into the AJ Top 100 in the near future, making this an exciting time to join.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering landmark projects while helping to shape the continued growth of the Leeds office.

This role offers the opportunity to lead projects across all RIBA Stages whilst working closely with clients, consultants and internal design teams.

The position would suit either an established Senior Architect or an experienced Project Architect looking to take the next step in their career.

There is also a clearly defined progression route into an Associate position for the right individual.

  • Senior Architect Overview
  • Lead and manage projects from early design through to completion across all RIBA Stages.
  • Review, coordinate and quality-assure technical drawings and specifications prior to issue.
  • Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015, British Standards and associated guidance.
  • Coordinate consultant and contractor information, resolving technical and construction-stage issues.
  • Lead project teams, overseeing programme, quality and technical delivery.
  • Maintain a visible presence within the office to mentor team members, provide technical leadership and support day-to-day problem solving.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to repeat work and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary environment, mentoring junior members of staff and supporting the continued growth of the Leeds office.
  • Assist with fee proposals, resource planning and business development activities where appropriate.
  • Senior Architect Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects across all RIBA Stages.
  • Proficient Revit user with experience delivering live projects.
  • ARB or RIBA qualified Architect.
  • Strong knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and technical detailing.
  • Experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of project delivery.
  • Able to mentor and develop junior members of staff.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing role with excellent communication skills.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Leeds.
