Bennett & Game are working with a well‑established, multidisciplinary Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy seeking a Structural Engineer with 2+ years' experience to join their growing Hemel Hempstead office. Job Overview

  • Assist in the delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors
  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Work on designs in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, technicians, and external stakeholders
  • Attend design team meetings with architects, clients, and contractors
  • Support project delivery from initial concept through to construction
  • Contribute to sustainable and efficient design solutions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and CDM requirements
  • Utilise design software such as Tekla, Tedds, or similar

Job Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 2+ years’ UK consultancy experience
  • Working towards Chartered status (IStructE or ICE)
  • Experience designing in a range of traditional materials
  • Good understanding of structural design principles and building structures
  • Familiarity with industry software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD)
  • Exposure to BIM environments is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
