An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join a leading construction and civil engineering contractor delivering high-profile residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects across the East Midlands. Working alongside the Site Manager and wider project team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the successful delivery of housing and commercial developments, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer looking to join a growing business with a strong reputation for quality, safety and staff development.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Engineer
  • Strong residential construction experience, with commercial project exposure advantageous
  • Experience in setting out, surveying and interpreting construction drawings
  • Good understanding of construction methodologies and site operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Relevant site certifications/cards
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of project delivery

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, interpret and communicate construction drawings and technical information
  • Carry out setting out and surveying activities, ensuring accuracy across site operations
  • Monitor and contribute to project programmes, helping ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Coordinate subcontractors, materials and site activities to maintain project progress
  • Maintain site records, as-built drawings, ITPs and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Support and develop junior team members on site
