Job Overview
The successful candidate will undertake dismantling, repair and fitting responsibilities on a range of diesel pumps, gearboxes and diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Split working between the company workshop and customer sites.
- Dismantle, diagnose, and fit diesel pumps and engines.
- Repair pumps, gearboxes and engines in the company workshop.
- Visit customer sites across Greater Manchester as required.
- Attend callouts for breakdowns as per the company rota.
Qualifications & Experience
- Apprentice trained in mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience in diesel fitting, ideally on pumps or engines.
- Confident in stripping, repairing and fitting mechanical components.
- Bonus: experience as a diesel fitter for the marine sector.
- Full driving licence.
- Based within a commutable distance of Irlam, Manchester.
Salary & Benefits
£16.93 per hour, full‑time 39‑hour week. Monday to Thursday 8:00‑16:30, Friday 8:00‑15:30; overtime available. 33 days holiday (including public holidays), pension.
