Overview: Our client is a well-established UK manufacturer of bespoke process and packaging machinery, supplying high-quality capital equipment to customers across a range of manufacturing industries. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities across the UK. This is a consultative sales role focused on understanding customer requirements and delivering tailored engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct customer site visits to understand technical requirements
- Prepare quotations and technical proposals
- Manage projects from enquiry through to order
- Liaise with internal engineering teams to develop bespoke solutions
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline
- Attend customer meetings, demonstrations and exhibitions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer position
- Experience selling capital equipment, process machinery, automation or similar engineering solutions
- Strong technical and commercial understanding
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
Remuneration:
- £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary
