Assistant Quantity Surveyor required for a specialist contractor based in Fleet, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established business operating across the EV charging, petroleum, retail, and construction sectors nationwide, delivering projects for major blue-chip clients including Asda, BP, McDonald’s, Sainsbury’s, and Tesco. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry, with fully funded degree support and RICS Chartership available.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accurate pricing and costing documentation
  • Assisting with valuations, final accounts, and subcontractor management
  • Producing budget prices from development plans and briefing documents
  • Pricing projects using schedules of rates and construction drawing packages
  • Producing tender packages and analysing tender returns
  • Compiling subcontractor tender information and preparing subcontractor orders
  • Assisting with programming and pricing of small works projects
  • Supporting cost analysis across all submitted tenders and priced packages
  • Ensuring take-off information and procurement requirements are accurately recorded
  • Managing drawing distribution to subcontractors and project teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships

Requirements

  • Degree qualified or working towards a qualification within Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Understanding of construction processes and commercial principles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Motivated, hardworking, and eager to develop within a high-performing team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Salary £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
  • Full-time permanent position (Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm)
