Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician required for a manufacturer based in Hook, Basingstoke. As the Assembly Technician you will be part of the Production Team, assembling mechanical and electrical elements of the products, to the highest quality standard.
Job Overview
- Carry out Electro-Mechanical assembly - involving sub-assemblies - with mechanical parts and wiring prior to then carrying out required testing procedures, to the highest quality standards.
- Ability to read drawings and interpret the requirement for the build.
- Assemble then leak and pressure test various pressure vessels to required standards prior to recording results.
- Ensure all build procedures are followed and advise of any discrepancies.
- Notify the Production Engineer of any non-conformances.
- Be fully aware of Health and Safety requirements and ensure safe working at all times within team(s).
- Medically fit and capable of lifting loads.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time.
Job Requirements
- Having worked in a lean manufacturing environment, champion the 5S approach.
- A minimum of 2 years experience having worked in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
- Basic computer literacy.
Salary & Benefits
- We provide free lunch, sandwiches, baguettes, salads, hot food.
- 20 days holiday per year, + 8 bank holidays, additional 1 day for every calendar year up to 25.
- Non-contractual bonus (1 month's salary).
- Xmas time we close down (3 days of holiday).
- Working hours are a 40 hr week.
