This innovative practice are seeking a Senior Accountant, to work under the directors, ensuring efficient portfolio management, and to help push the practice forward In this role, you should be an all-rounder handling accounts prep, tax returns, reviewing accounts, and more.

- Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and building strong working relationships.
- Prepare year-end accounts and statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Prepare and review personal, partnership and corporation tax returns.
- Complete VAT returns, bookkeeping and bank reconciliations where required.
- Handle accounts production from initial bookkeeping through to finalisation and submission.
- Provide clients with general accounting, tax and business advice.
- Liaise directly with HMRC and Companies House where required.
- Review work completed by junior members of the team and provide guidance and support.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and areas where clients could improve their financial position.
- Assist with management accounts, cash-flow forecasts and other ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Ensure all client work is completed accurately and within relevant deadlines.
- Assist with the onboarding of new clients and maintain accurate client records.
- Support the wider practice with ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
- Senior Accountant Job Requirements
- ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualifications are beneficial. Part qualified or QBE candidates can also be considered
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Accountancy Practice
- Must be able to comfortably commute to Dunstable
- Should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Prior experience across different accounting software
