Design Manager required. Our client is a well-established and leading design and manufacturer of sheet metal fabricated products for the construction industries. Due to ongoing success and growth of the business they are seeking an experienced Design Manager / Drawing Office Manager to manage close knit design teams in their Thetford and Hertford facilities. Design Manager Position Overview Taking overall responsibility for the Hertford and Thetford drawings offices Planning and delegating design work throughout both drawing offices to ensure drawings are produced in accordance with timescales, quality and customer requirements Liaising with stakeholders to ensure that designs meet commercial, quality and statutory requirements Reviewing current processes and software’s, and seeking opportunities for improvements Overseeing recruitment, training, disciplinary and one to one meeting within the design teams Producing KPI reports from the team for the head of projects Design Manager Position Requirements Experience with AutoCAD and 3D software such as Inventor or Solidworks Excellent communication and leadership skills Experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment, with a knowledge of CAM software such as Radan or TruTops Willingness to travel between the Hertford and Thetford sites Full UK Driving License Design Manager …
