Quality Engineer required for an automotive small/medium component manufacturer based in Daventry. The successful candidate will ideally have an automotive background within quality engineering/assurance and be local to their site in Daventry.

Quality Engineer Position Overview

  • Support the management of all quality-related issues within the manufacturing & Goods Receiving teams (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty).
  • Be instrumental in the identification of defect root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
  • Carry out/assist personnel with product and process audits.
  • Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented and maintained.
  • Stop production in the event of unacceptable goods/processes, identify the resolution actions needed in order to re-start production.
  • Ensure all quality activities and processes are conducted in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.

Quality Engineer Position Requirements

  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Membership of an industry related Professional Body would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in or with Quality Assurance.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.

Quality Engineer Position Remuneration

  • Salary - £38,000.
  • Working hours - Monday - Friday 8-4.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Auto enrolment pension.
  • Death in Service - up to 3 x annual salary.
