Our client, a well-established, nationwide multidisciplinary consultancy, are currently seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing Colchester office. Established for over 90 years, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering innovative, sustainable and technically robust design solutions across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK. The practice provides integrated architecture, engineering and surveying services, allowing them to deliver projects from concept through to completion. They work with both public and private sector clients across sectors including Education, Commercial, Defence, Residential, Healthcare and Infrastructure, with project values ranging from small refurbishment schemes through to approximately £50 million. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused Senior Architectural Technologist with strong Revit skills to join an established consultancy offering genuine career progression, 3 days hybrid working and a varied project portfolio.

Position Overview
- Lead the production and coordination of technical design information using Revit across a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Produce high-quality BIM models and detailed construction drawing packages in accordance with BIM standards.
- Develop coordinated technical solutions with a strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods and building technology.
- Coordinate consultant information and resolve technical clashes to produce fully integrated construction documentation.
- Prepare planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and Listed Building applications where required.
- Produce feasibility studies, technical reports and detailed specifications using NBS.
- Assist with tender documentation, contractor coordination and value engineering exercises.
- Attend client meetings, design team meetings and site visits throughout project delivery.
- Support projects throughout all RIBA Stages from concept through to completion.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best practice in Revit, BIM and technical detailing.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors.
Position Requirements
- MCIAT qualified or working towards Chartership.
- Strong Revit proficiency and a good knowledge of AutoCADDemonstrable experience delivering projects across all RIBA Work Stages.
- Excellent technical detailing ability and sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
- Experience producing working drawing packages, specifications and technical documentation.
- Ability to independently resolve technical design challenges.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Must be able to commute to the Colchester office.
