Salary: £14.10 - £14.50 per hour
Due to continued growth, our client, a leading logistics and general haulage business, is seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage
- Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles, returning to the depot daily
- Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
- Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points
- Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
- Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous
- Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
- ADR Licence would be advantageous
- Professional and customer-focused approach
