We are seeking a Design Engineer to join a market‑leading specialist contractor delivering complex geotechnical, foundation and ground engineering solutions across the UK.

You will work alongside experienced design professionals, be involved throughout both the tender and project lifecycle, producing innovative and practical engineering solutions.

  • Design foundation piles, retaining structures and ground improvement solutions.
  • Design ground anchors and soil nail systems.
  • Produce efficient designs for both tender and live projects.
  • Provide technical support to construction teams throughout project delivery.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, reports and design documentation.
  • Work closely with project, estimating and site teams to develop cost‑effective engineering solutions.
  • Contribute towards innovation and continuous improvement within the design department.
  • Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Experience, or a genuine interest, in foundations and ground engineering.
  • Knowledge of piling, retaining structures, grouting, soil mixing, anchors or soil nails would be advantageous.
  • Experience using software such as PLAXIS, WALLAP, the Oasys Suite or Auto CAD; training will be provided.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
