MEP CAD Technician
Location: Billericay, Essex
Salary: £40,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)
An established and growing consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced MEP CAD Technician to join its expanding Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health team.
This is a varied role combining hands-on 2D MEP CAD production with responsibility for developing and improving the company's CAD systems, standards and workflows. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to produce accurate technical drawings for live projects, whilst also taking ownership of templates, libraries, blocks, drawing standards and quality-control processes.
The role would suit an experienced MEP CAD Technician or CAD Coordinator who enjoys both technical drawing production and improving the way CAD information is managed and delivered.
MEP CAD Technician Salary & Benefits:
£40,000 salary, negotiable for the right candidate
Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week

MEP CAD Technician Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 2D MEP drawings using AutoCAD LT, whilst also helping to develop and maintain the company's CAD standards, templates, libraries, blocks and quality-control processes.
You will produce mechanical, electrical and public health drawings, schematics, plant layouts, sections and details from engineer briefs, mark-ups, calculations, survey information and other project records. The role also provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of dynamic blocks, CAD libraries and practical AI and automation workflows designed to improve drawing production and quality.
