Projects span forecourt and petrol station construction, above and below ground tank installations, pipework and interceptor installations, alongside wider civils and groundworks for schools, prisons, hospitals and industrial sites. The business is a member of APEA and holds UKPIA passport training across its workforce, reflecting the technical and safety standards required by its sector. The Site Supervisor will take ownership of day-to-day site delivery across live projects, managing people, safety, programme and quality rather than working on the tools. The role is based from the Walsall head office with regular travel to sites nationwide, so flexibility and a willingness to work away are essential. Site Supervisor Salary & Benefits Up to £23 per hour (depending on experience) Immediate Start Available Laptop and Mobile Phone Provided On-Site Parking Ongoing Work with a Long-Established Family Business Access to Industry-Specific Training including UKPIA and APEA Standards Site Supervisor Job Overview Plan and coordinate daily site activities, labour and subcontractors Allocate work, brief teams and monitor progress against the programme Read and work from drawings, specifications, risk assessments and method statements Carry out setting out, check levels and inspect drainage falls Liaise with project management, clients, suppliers and other trades Complete daily hazard checks and ensure risks are controlled on site Lead site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings Enforce PPE, site rules, permits and legal health and safety requirements Stop unsafe work and promptly report incidents, near misses and concerns Coordinate deliveries, materials, plant and equipment to keep works on programme Inspect completed work against drawings, specifications and company standards Identify defects early and arrange corrective action Maintain accurate daily diaries, progress updates, photographs and site paperwork Manage site opening, closing and handover arrangements as required Site Supervisor Requirements Valid CSCS Gold Card, SSSTS or SMSTS qualification Proven experience supervising groundworks and civil engineering projects Good knowledge of drainage, excavations, foundations, kerbing, concrete and finishing works Strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities on construction sites Reliable, punctual, organised and confident leading site teams Comfortable completing daily site paperwork and communicating with management and clients Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Full UK driving licence required What Makes This Opportunity Different?
