Senior Tax Advisor required to join the Surbiton based office of an expanding Tax team for a fast-growing accountancy practice. The successful Tax Senior will be able to work efficiently on self-assessments and be able to confidently contact both clients and HMRC. The role of a Tax Senior requires attention to detail and an ability to work well within the Tax team. If you are an experienced Tax Senior looking to grow a portfolio, then this company could be the one for you. The Tax Senior applicant must have at least 2 years' experience within a practice, preparing self-assessment tax returns. The role of the Tax Senior is to manage their own portfolio, as well as provide assistance to the Tax Manager as and when required.
Position Overview
- Manage a portfolio of clients.
- Liaise with clients/HMRC by post, email and phone.
- Carry out and deal with IHT, CGT & EMI for a number of clients.
- Be responsible for billing clients.
- Assist the tax manager as required.
- Manage work load and be efficient in time keeping.
Position Requirements
- CTA qualifications may be useful but are not essential - practical experience is more important.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice.
- 2 years of experience preparing self-assessment income tax returns and correspondence.
- Good understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook and tax software packages.
Position Remuneration
- Salary £55,000 to £65,000 dependant on experience and qualifications.
- Up to 15% bonus per year.
- Part time or full time role.
