Semi-skilled General Operative required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with specialist engineering and fabrication solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. Our client specialised within sheet metal manufacturing including laser cutting, press brakes and welding. The role is a varied and hands-on position working across production and stores.
Position Overview:
- Assisting with fabrication and assembly
- Cutting of timber, ply and chipboards for projects
- Operating a forklift within the warehouse
- Palletising and wrapping of products ready for dispatch
- Assisting with loading and unloading of lorries
- Assist with quality inspection to ISO9001 standards
- Ensuring the workshop and warehouse are kept in tidy and safe conditions
Position Requirements:
- Ability to competently use power tools and hand tools
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar trade environment (e.g. electrical, joinery)
- Proactive, reliable, and with a positive attitude to work
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- Willingness to support across fabrication, assembly, and workshop activities
- Crane operator licence and/or forklift licence would be highly advantageous (RTITB / AITT accredited) preferred
- Willingness to obtain CS Clearance and DBS Check
- Full UK Driving License
Position Remuneration:
Starting salary: £26,500 - £28,500. Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30. Friday 08:00 - 15:30. Permanent position. Holiday allowance and pension.
