They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role within the team. Job Overview- Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications in line with current standards and best practice.
- Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop practical and cost-effective structural solutions.
- Undertake structural analysis and design using relevant software and manual calculations.
- Oversee and coordinate project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
- Attend site visits, inspections, and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical queries.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, contributing to their ongoing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with relevant design codes including Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and technical standards.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership.
- Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment.
- Strong experience in the design of building structures using materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Proficient in structural design software such as Tekla Tedds, Robot, ETABS, or similar.
- Experience using AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and design standards.
- Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small teams.
