Job Description

Position: Supplier Quality Launch Engineer

Salary: Circa £34 per hour DOESupplier Quality Launch Engineer required for an exciting opportunity with a leading automotive manufacturer based in Woking.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supplier Quality professional to support the successful launch of high-performance vehicle programmes within a fast-paced, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Working as part of a cross-functional programme team, you will be responsible for ensuring supplier readiness, managing quality activities throughout new product introduction (NPI), and supporting prototype, pre-production, and start of production (SOP) builds.

You will act as the key liaison between suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, procurement and programme teams to ensure components meet quality, timing and delivery requirements.

Supplier Quality Launch Engineer Position Overview Lead supplier quality activities throughout NPI and vehicle launch programmes.

Manage APQP and PPAP activities, ensuring supplier approvals are achieved within programme deadlines.

Support prototype and pre-production builds, resolving supplier quality issues quickly and effectively.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 8D methodologies and implement robust corrective actions.

Manage and validate containment activities during critical launch phases.

Assess supplier readiness, including process capability, production capacity and quality systems.

Identify, monitor and escalate supplier risks affecting programme timing, quality or delivery.

Work collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Programme teams.

Produce clear reports on supplier performance, launch status, open issues and mitigation plans.

Supplier Quality Launch Engineer Position Requirements Minimum of 3-7 years' experience within Supplier Quality, Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or Launch Quality within the automotive sector.

Proven experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and vehicle launch programmes.

Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and 8D problem-solving methodologies.

Experience of manufacturing processes such as machining, composites or assembly.

Excellent supplier management and stakeholder communication skills.

Ability to prioritise workload and perform effectively within fast-paced programme environments.

A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Comfortable working within high-performance, low-volume automotive manufacturing environments.

Supplier Quality Launch Engineer Position Remuneration Circa £34.00 per hour (DOE).

Inside IR35 contract.

Standard Monday to Friday working pattern (40 hours per week).
