Our client specialise in waste management and are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their engineering team supporting site operations and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure management and operational teams are kept updated on issues
- Oversee repair and maintenance activities carried out by the shift team
- Repair plant equipment including fabrication of essential components where required
- Maintain working knowledge of MRF and baler electronics
- Diagnose baler hydraulic systems
- Operate fire pumps and isolate zones where required
- Complete contractor permit documentation
- Ensure contractors hold valid site inductions
- Maintain working knowledge of controls across baler, MRF and plasterboard facilities
- Support basic repair work on Tomra systems
- Manage stock including bearings, electrical items and consumables
- Keep the MRF in a clean and serviceable condition
- Ensure daily checks are completed and issues reported
- Promote and maintain Health & Safety standards across the MRF
Requirements
- Experience working within an MRF environment preferred
- Single phase or three phase electrical qualifications or experience is essential
- Hydraulic experience is essential
- Welding skills are essential
- Strong customer focus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to work
- MEWPS certification advantageous
- Forklift licence advantageous
- First Aid at Work qualification preferred
- Fire Marshall qualification preferred
Salary & Benefits
- Circa £45,000 salary
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- Days only - 07:00-19:00
