CNC Turner Setter / Operator required for a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Stockton-on-Tees. Our client operates across a range of industries including telecommunications, construction, and rail, providing specialist equipment and innovative engineering solutions.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter / Operator to join their production team.
CNC Turner Setter / Operator Position Overview- Setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components
- Interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and production documentation
- Adjusting machine settings and tooling to achieve optimum machining performance
- Using measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances and specifications
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Working closely with colleagues to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency
- Accurately recording production data and manufacturing activities
- Ensuring compliance with company health and safety procedures at all times
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter / Operator within a precision engineering environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools
- Experience with grinding, milling, and tooling operations would be advantageous
- Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, would be beneficial
- Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous
- £35 - 40k base salary DOE
- Performance-related bonus structure
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
