Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Bennett & Game are representing a privately owned quantity surveying and project management consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The business provides quantity surveying, project management, project monitoring and dispute resolution services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Their work covers sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, defence, marine and ecclesiastical projects, with typical project values around £5m and opportunities to become involved with larger schemes as the business continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a Senior position within a genuinely close-knit consultancy. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own projects, work directly with clients and consultant teams, and gain broad exposure across different sectors rather than being pigeonholed into one particular area. Hybrid working ~25 days' holiday plus bank holidays ~ Private health insurance ~ Pension scheme ~ Car allowance ~ Discretionary performance bonus ~ Relaxed, modern and professional working environment Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview Take responsibility for the commercial and cost management of projects from inception through to completion Manage multiple projects across a varied range of sectors and maintain strong client relationships Manage procurement and tendering processes, including analysis of tender returns and providing recommendations to clients Provide pre and post-contract cost management, including valuations, change control and final accounts Advise clients and project teams on procurement routes, contract matters and commercial considerations Attend project meetings and work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary consultant teams Contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy through client relationships, networking and identifying opportunities Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements Previous Quantity Surveying experience gained within a consultancy / PQS environment is essential Strong pre and post-contract experience Experience of managing projects independently and dealing directly with clients Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost control and analytical skills Good communication, client-facing and technical writing skills Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
