Operations Manager Job Overview
- Leading the day-to-day running of the business, including managing schedules, engineers, admin, sales and accounts staff.
- Overseeing the technical work carried out by a small team of Gas Engineers & Plumbers.
- Ensuring company compliance across Gas Safe and Health & Safety.
- Supporting the business' further growth through highlighting opportunities for new business and maximising the company's existing accounts.
- Being the point of contact for complex technical queries from engineers and customers, and providing customer service for complaints escalations.
- Assist on site where necessary, at times of heightened workload or complex jobs.
Operations Manager Job Requirements
- Strong technical background within the domestic heating industry, with previous experience as a hands-on gas engineer working across installations, servicing and maintenance.
- Confident operationally, with previous experience managing small to medium teams.
- Understanding of the commercial responsibilities involved in managing a business, i.e. margin and retention.
- Ideally Gas Safe Registered, but this is not essential.
- Based within a commutable distance of Emsworth, Hampshire.
