Bennett & Game Recruitment are currently working with a respected Sheet Metal and Precision Engineering business seeking a Quality Inspector to join their Reading based team. This role would suit an experienced inspector with knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined components. Aerospace experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
Quality Inspector Position Overview
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
- Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Inspect components against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use a range of measuring equipment to verify product quality.
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
- Support production teams in maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with non-conformance investigations when required.
Quality Inspector Position Requirements
- Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar position.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and/or machined part inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience producing FAIR documentation.
- Good computer literacy skills.
- CMM knowledge would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach.

- Salary circa £32,000.
- Six-month salary review.
- Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:45.
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
