Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of bespoke equipment based in the Basingstoke area. They are seeking an enthusiastic Shipping and Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team, and take responsibility for managing the daily shipping, procurement, documentation and distribution operations.

Position Overview

  • Planning and supervising the shipments from production to the end user for both machinery and spare parts
  • Ensuring compliance with shipping legislation
  • Working closely with the purchasing and stores team to ensure alignment between shipment readiness and timeline of product completion
  • Managing shipping documentation such as shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
  • Liaising with the stores and production teams to ensure products are stored and distributed correctly
  • Providing tracking details to customers
  • Monitoring the cost of transportation and researching cost effective shipping methods

Position Requirements

  • Experience within a shipping, logistics and supply chain coordination role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of shipping processes such as export procedures and documentation
  • Based in a commutable distance of Basingstoke
