Sheet metal worker required to join a well-established fabrications company that are suppliers of high-quality architectural finishes to the lift and escalator industry. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years sheet metal experience and live within the Dartford area. Sheet Metal Worker Job Overview Fabrication & Assembly – Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components to precise specifications, ensuring structural integrity and compatibility with lift and escalator systems. Welding & Fastening – Utilize welding, riveting, and other fastening techniques to assemble parts, creating robust assemblies that meet industry standards. Installation Support – Work closely with installation teams to ensure that fabricated components fit correctly and align with on-site requirements. Blueprint Interpretation – Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to produce accurate metal parts and assemblies. Quality Control – Inspect completed parts for defects, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards. Safety Compliance – Follow all company and industry safety protocols, especially those related to working with heavy machinery and potentially hazardous materials. Sheet Metal Worker Job Requirements 2+ years of experience as a sheet metal worker, preferably within the lift, escalator, or a related industry. Proficiency in welding, metal cutting, bending, and shaping techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents. Ability to work on your feet, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks safely and effectively. Precision and accuracy in measurements and assembly work to ensure high-quality standards. Sheet Metal Worker Salary & Benefits Full time – Permanent position Monday to Friday – 8am to 5:30pm (Friday finish at 4:30pm) 44 hour week paid for 45 hours.
