Our client is a leading Permanent and Temporary Works design consultancy working on projects across the UK including caissons and cofferdam designs, foundations, drainage, façade retention, tunnelling and many more. The Senior Temporary Works Engineer will be joining a growing team working on multiple projects and will be rewarded with a salary up to £70,000 and great progression opportunities.
Job Overview
- Design engineering solutions for a range of standard, complex and bespoke projects
- Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project
- Agree/approve/cost customer enquiries
- Provide support to our engineering teams nationwide with design, design checking
- Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations and reports
- Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments
- Adhering to codes of practice, UK regulations and company policies
- Providing strong technical support to tenders
- Site visits and client meetings
- Maintenance of project documentation records
- Work on multiple projects at any one time
Job Requirements
- A BEng or MEng in a Civil or Structural Engineering discipline
- Minimum 7 years' experience within Temp Works
- Working towards chartership
- Experience of Staff management, Financial Awareness, Strategic Planning, Quality Management, Dealing with Complexity, Managing Processes, Reporting Progress and Results, Decision Making and Time Management
- Understanding of relevant British Standards, European Standards, and specialist documentation
- Understanding of safety legislations relating to temporary works
- Experience with AutoCAD and Tedds and BRICs CAD and 3D/2D structural analysis programmes
