Position: Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical Biased) Location: West Sussex Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 DOE Bennett and Game are exclusively partnering with an established Manufacturer in West Sussex who are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team. Our client are looking for an established Design Engineer who will take ownership of machine design projects from concept through to manufacture, supporting customer projects, product development, R&D, and continuous improvement initiatives. Senior Design Engineer Responsibilities: Design and develop machinery for manufacture using SolidWorks Produce build manuals, user manuals, testing and statutory documentation Support R&D and cost reduction projects Carry out equipment testing, occasionally with customers present Work closely with Mechanical Design and Control & Automation Engineers Senior Design Engineer Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Strong SolidWorks skills (EPDM Vault experience advantageous) Good understanding of pneumatic systems Industry knowledge of Packaging, End of line production, FMCG Manufacturing Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively Senior Design Engineer Salary & Benefits: £55,000-£65,000 DOE West Sussex location (close to mainline rail links) 35-hour week with flexibility when required 8% employer pension contribution Annual performance bonus and salary review Optional private medical cover Death-in-service benefit Excellent career progression opportunitiesBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
