Test Engineer required for a switchgear provider based in Selby. Currently seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our team in a full-time on-site capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day product testing at our facility in Sherburn in Elmet (In between Leeds / York), the position requires strong electrical engineering expertise.

Test Engineer Overview

  • Product Testing:
    • Low Voltage Switchgear and Low Voltage solutions
    • Medium Voltage Switchgear and Medium Voltage solutions
    • External purchased equipment
    • Bespoke complete building services solutions
    • Electrical Testing and Mechanical Inspections to given documentation to ensure the product is compliant, fully functional and GR quality approved

Test Engineer Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience in Electrical Testing
  • Ability to plan and execute projects from initiation to completion
  • Proficient in electrical principles and practices
  • Competence in reading, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Previous experience in the switchboard or power distribution industry is preferred
  • Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Test Engineer Salary & Benefits

  • Salary = £15.00 to £18.00 per Hour
  • 39 Hours + is Time & Half
  • Weekends is Double Time
  • Bonus
  • Company Pension
  • Training Available
  • 07:30AM to 16:00PM - Monday to Friday
