Bennett and Game are currently partnering with a highly established CNC & Precision Engineering client actively seeking a skilled and industry proven CNC Programmer with proven ability working on Sliding Head Machines to join their Kent branch.
Position Overview:
- Set, operate, and program Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines (4 and 5 axis) to produce precision aerospace components to drawing and tolerance requirements.
- Carry out full machine setups including tooling, offsets, bar feeds, and first-off inspections to ensure smooth production.
- Edit and improve CNC programs to reduce cycle times and maintain quality and accuracy.
- Inspect parts using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to meet ISO 9001 and aerospace standards.
- Complete production records, inspection reports, and traceability paperwork in line with AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Support continuous improvement, reduce scrap, and maintain high standards of machine care, safety, and housekeeping.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience setting, operating, and programming Citizen Sliding Head CNC machines.
- Strong knowledge of 4 and 5 axis machining and sliding head lathe operations.
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and tight tolerance specifications.
- Experience working to ISO 9001 and AS9100 aerospace quality standards.
- Skilled in using inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Good problem-solving skills with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Position Salary & Package:
- £45 - 50k base salary DOE
- Overtime rates on top of salary
- Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00
- Friday 08:00 - 13:00
