A well-established manufacturer within the metal powders industry is seeking a Production Operator to support growing operations within its atomising department. This hands-on role involves operating and monitoring furnace and atomising equipment, preparing raw materials and maintaining efficient production processes within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced production setting, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and operational performance are maintained at all times.

Job Overview
  • Preparation and processing of raw materials for production
  • Monitoring furnace operations and atomising processes
  • Loading and handling raw material feed into furnaces
  • Adjusting furnace temperatures and supporting casting operations
  • Removing slag and dross material safely from furnace systems
  • Operating hydraulic controls during metal pouring operations
  • Clearing solidified materials using hand tools where required
  • Cleaning atomising bays, furnace areas and production equipment
  • Carrying out manual handling duties involving lifting, bending and turning
  • Operating forklift trucks safely within the production environment
  • Completing production paperwork and basic calculations accurately
  • Supporting continuous improvement and site operational activities
  • Working in full compliance with company PPE and health & safety procedures
Requirements
  • Previous experience within an industrial production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with furnaces, heat treatment or molten materials advantageous
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work and manual handling tasks
  • Able to work rotating shifts including nights
  • Basic numeracy and paperwork completion skills
  • Forklift truck experience beneficial
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable, adaptable and team-oriented approach
Salary & Benefits
  • Full-time permanent role
  • 5-day rotating 3-shift pattern
  • Typical shifts: 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00
  • Additional overtime and weekend work available during busy periods
