Overview
Refrigeration Engineer required for our client, a leading Refrigeration company based in Essex, who specialise in the design, installation, and service/maintenance of a wide range of Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration systems. Due to expansion, our client is looking for an experienced commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their team and work on their contracts across the Northern region of London, such as Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridge.
The role will involve completing routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on a range of Commercial Refrigeration units such as; Blast Chillers, Blast Freezers, Glycol Chillers, CO2 systems, and Cooling Tunnels. The successful Refrigeration Engineer candidate will have at least 5 years\\\β experience completing service/maintenance tasks on a range of the above systems.
Responsibilities (illustrative)
- Complete routine servicing and planned/reactive maintenance on Commercial Refrigeration units including blast chillers/freezers, glycol chillers, CO2 systems, and cooling tunnels.
- Work across contracts in the Northern region of London (Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridge).
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.
Requirements / Qualifications
- 5+ years\\\β experience completing service and maintenance works on Commercial Refrigeration systems such as Chillers.
- FGAS Qualified β essential
- City & Guilds Level 3 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
- Hydrocarbon (6187) ticket, CSCS Card β essential
- MEWP & PASMA certificates desirable
- Experience working in industrial settings including Food Manufacturing/Storage Centres, Distribution Centres, and Large Office Buildings
- Full UK Driving Licence
Salary & Benefits
- Β£50-55K Per annum based on experience
- 50-hour week (site and travel time)
- 25 days holiday plus bank
- Overtime rate 1.5 & 2x
- Company call out rota β plus retainer fee, overtime, and door-to-door travel pay
- Company van with optional personal use
