Project Engineer required for a switchgear provider based in Selby. Currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in a full-time on-site capacity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day project management, planning, design, and engineering activities. The position requires strong electrical engineering expertise.
Project Engineer Overview- Managing the entire project life cycles from order to invoice
- Mechanical design - Inventor
- Creating electrical design schematics
- Efficiently ordering of parts
- Supervising the manufacturing process of the project
- Handling amendments and variations
- Conducting Witness Testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Coordinating deliveries and installations
- Organizing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Full and sole client interfacing
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience in project management and project engineering
- Ability to plan and execute projects from initiation to completion
- Proficient in electrical engineering principles and practices
- Some knowledge of Inventor & AutoCAD is required
- Competence in reading, producing, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Previous experience in the switchboard or power distribution industry is preferred
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related field
