Role Overview
- Manage daily depot administration, including raising hire and sales contracts.
- Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy throughout.
- Assist with picking, packing, and preparing equipment for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support stock control activities.
- Keep the depot clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Support the Depot Manager and provide cover when required.
- Help coordinate daily depot operations to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify operational issues and contribute to continuous improvements.
- Promote excellent customer service and maintain high operational standards.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a depot, hire desk, warehouse, or supervisory environment.
- Strong IT and computer literacy.
- Experience raising hire or sales contracts would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience supervising or supporting a small team is desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
