We currently have an opportunity to join a well-established domestic plumbing & heating contractor who offer installations, maintenance, and breakdown repairs to domestic customers across Hampshire & Sussex and have gone through a recent period of substantial company growth.

Operations Manager Job Overview

  • Leading the day-to-day running of the business, including managing schedules, engineers, admin, sales and accounts staff
  • Overseeing the technical work carried out by a small team of Gas Engineers & Plumbers
  • Ensuring company compliance across Gas Safe and Health & Safety
  • Supporting the business' further growth through highlighting opportunities for new business and maximising the company's existing accounts
  • Being the point of contact for complex technical queries from engineers and customers, and providing customer service for complaints escalations
  • Assist on site where necessary, at times of heightened workload or complex jobs

Operations Manager Job Requirements

  • Strong technical background within the domestic heating industry, with previous experience as a hands-on gas engineer working across installations, servicing and maintenance
  • Confident operationally, with previous experience managing small to medium teams
  • Understanding of the commercial responsibilities involved in managing a business, i.e. margin and retention
  • Ideally Gas Safe Registered, but this is not essential
  • Based within a commutable distance of Emsworth, Hampshire
