The MIG Welder / Fabricator position is required in Dinnington, Sheffield for our client, a small manufacturing and fabrication business. This is an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Welder / Fabricator to join a small team of around 9 employees.
Job Overview:
- MIG welding and fabrication of metal components
- Working with plate materials ranging from approximately 2mm to 20mm thick
- Fabricating and bending components to specification
- Jigging and assembling components prior to welding
- Working as part of a small, hands-on fabrication team
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and finished quality
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Experience working with plate from approximately 2mm to 20mm thick
- Previous experience with fabrication, bending and jigging
- A practical, hands-on approach to fabrication work
- Able to work effectively within a small team
Salary & Benefits:
- Circa £16.00 per hour
- 36-hour working week
- Monday to Thursday: 7 hours 15 minutes per day
- Friday: 7 hours
- Overtime times the normal hourly rate
- Permanent, site-based position
Please note: The client is currently only looking to consider one graduate-level candidate initially, with this being reviewed following interview. The primary requirement is for an experienced, traditional/'old school' Welder / Fabricator with strong practical MIG welding and fabrication skills.
