Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer required for a corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Ely. The candidate will need to be electrically and mechanically skilled and live within a commutable distance.
The successful candidate will be expected to have:
- Experience in corrugated packaging, paper, FMCG, or high-speed production environments preferred
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills across:
- Electrical systems (3-phase motors, inverters, sensors, control panels)
- Mechanical systems (bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics)
Requirements:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC or equivalent)
- Electrical certification (e.g. 18th Edition or equivalent) desirable
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC diagrams
Salary - £40,000-£50,000
Double Days, Rotating Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06.00am - 2.00pm, Friday 05.00am - 12.00
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday 2.00pm - 10.00pm, Friday 12.00 - 7.00pm
Candidates work a total of 39 hours a week, with 40 hours paid and 2 x 15-minute breaks per shift.
