Senior Structural Engineer required for an independent multi-disciplinary engineering, environmental and project management consultancy based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a growing consultancy delivering a diverse range of refurbishment, new build and structural engineering projects across the residential, commercial, industrial and public sectors.
The successful Senior Structural Engineer will play a key role in the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and internal design teams, you will manage multiple projects, mentor junior engineers and provide technically robust structural solutions across all major construction materials.

Job Overview
- Lead the structural design and delivery of refurbishment and new build projects
- Produce and review structural calculations, drawings and technical reports
- Design using steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry
- Manage projects from feasibility through to construction
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other design consultants
- Attend client, design team and site meetings
- Carry out site inspections and structural assessments where required
- Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Assist with fee proposals and business development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes and internal quality management procedures
Job Requirements
- Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' UK consultancy experience within structural engineering
- Experience delivering both refurbishment and new build projects
- Strong design experience across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures
- Previous project management experience with responsibility for programme and client liaison
- Comfortable mentoring junior engineers
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes
- Working towards or already Chartered (MIStructE or MICE) would be advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Full Right to Work in the UK
