Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 Depending on experience

Our client is a well-established manufacturer based in Milton Keynes, supplying precision engineering & metal fabricated parts to a range of sectors including Automotive, Rail & Energy. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team.

Quality Inspector Position Overview

  • Carry out quality assessment measurements of all the products ready to be shipped and incoming raw materials, including metrological and visual assessment.
  • Operate the CMM; experience with Aberlink software is ideal, but experience with PC-DMIS is an advantage.
  • Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications, and drawings to understand the product requirements.
  • Reject all the incoming raw materials which fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue promptly.
  • Resolve quality-related issues and adhere to deadlines.
  • Assist the QM in designing an efficient quality system and protocols which can be used across all company needs.
  • Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records.
  • Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Guide the production team about the quality control issues to enhance the quality of the product.
  • Assist the Head of Quality with KPI data and monitor customer satisfaction levels.
  • Monitor the production phases at various levels.

Quality Inspector Position Requirements

  • Proven background within a Quality Inspection / Assurance role.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
  • Previous CMM operating experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Based in a commutable distance of Milton Keynes.
  • A knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP / MRP systems.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Quality Inspector Position Remuneration

  • Salary £34,000 - £36,000 depending on experience.
  • Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00. Friday 08:00 - 14:00.
  • Holiday allowance and pension.
