M&E Site Supervisor – Mechanical or Electrical bias This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced M&E Site Supervisor to join a successful and busy Mechanical and Electrical Building Services contractor based in Birmingham. They work nationally therefore the successful candidate must be happy to lodge away often Monday – Friday (Accommodation and OOT allowance paid). Working across multiple sectors including Commercial, MOD, MOJ + more, with typical project values ranging from £50k up to £10M, the company provide a full range of Mechanical and Electrical services, from design through to installation and commissioning. As a result of continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced M&E Supervisor of either Mechanical or Electrical bias. Duties & Responsibilities: * Working under the direction of the Managing Director and the Operations Director and working with the Projects Team you will be responsible for supervising projects won. * Such projects include, but are not limited to M&E works, builders works and associated civils works, gas, hydraulics and pneumatics. * All work to be carried out and completed to the level of standards expected of a qualified site supervisor holding SSSTS certification. * Ensure work is completed to programme. * Ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with subcontractors. * Manage site operation and safety in accordance with the site Health & Safety Plan. * Supervision of workforce including all Sub-Contractors, Suppliers, Specialists and visitors to site. * Carry out Site Inductions in accordance with the site Health & Safety Plan. * Monitor progress of work for each individual Sub-Contractor/worker in accordance with the Contract Programme. * Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures. * Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme. * Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis. * Monitor quality of work of all operatives and instruct rectification of faulty work M&E Site Supervisor – Desirable Experience and Key Skills: * 3 – 5 years' experience in a supervisory role * SMSTS/SSSTS Required * Due to the nature of work, security clearance is required.
