The Role
We are working with a well-established, family-run material handling business that is looking for an experienced Workshop Forklift Engineer to join their team in Mansfield. This is a hands-on workshop role working on a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
Key Duties
- Service and repair forklift trucks
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Work on electric, diesel and LPG equipment
- Carry out planned maintenance and inspections
- Fault-find and complete repairs
- Complete service paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop
- Work to company health & safety procedures
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous forklift or material handling experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Good hydraulic and diagnostic skills
- Experience with electric, diesel or LPG equipment
- A reliable and professional approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Heavy Plant, Agricultural, Powered Access, HGV or Automotive Engineers with transferable skills will also be considered.
The Package
- £38,000-£40,000 basic salary
- Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Standby available after probation
- Double-time overtime when called out on standby
- £200 monthly additional payment after probation, subject to performance
