Overview

  • Service, repair and maintain heavy plant, machinery and small tools
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose faults, source parts and complete effective repairs
  • Work independently or within a team
  • Complete all maintenance paperwork accurately
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and challenge unsafe practices
  • Support general workshop tasks and maintain a clean work area

Requirements

Essential

  • Heavy plant experience (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic)
  • Diagnostic skills (fault finding & repair)
  • Mig welding/fabrication ability
  • Strong communication & teamwork
  • Self-motivated with good attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • CSCS Card
  • City & Guilds (Levels 1-3)
  • Experience with cranes or white-lining equipment

Salary & Benefits

  • £24.40 per hour
  • Monday - Friday 45 hour weekly rotating shifts: Week 1: 06:00-16:00, Week 2: 07:00-17:00
  • Overtime available
  • Training & development opportunities
  • Travel to other sites as required
