Class 1 Driver Job Overview
- Operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to deliver and collect telehandlers and various types of plant machinery across designated sites.
- Ensure all loads are securely and safely strapped, loaded, and unloaded in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and routine maintenance reporting to ensure roadworthiness and prevent downtime.
- Liaise with customers and site personnel to ensure smooth, timely, and professional equipment handovers.
- Complete delivery and collection documentation accurately and maintain clear records in line with company procedures.
Class 1 Driver Job Requirements
- Experience in a similar position.
- Good time keeping skills and self-motivated.
- Driver DIGI Card.
- LGV Licence category C + CE.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- The ability to speak and write a good standard of English.
- Demonstrate a full and varied knowledge of all plant.
- In possession of a full, valid Driving Licence with no more than 3 points.
- NPORS Card.
- An update to date CPC record (evidence will need to be provided).
