Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner required. Our client is a specialist UK manufacturer with over 20 years' experience designing and producing bespoke products for the construction sector. Due to continued growth and the expansion of a new furniture range, they are looking to recruit a skilled Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner to join their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with a background in manufacturing or production joinery rather than traditional site carpentry. The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture of high-quality furniture products from technical drawings through to final assembly, working closely with design and production teams.

Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner Position Overview:
  • Manufacture bespoke and batch-produced wooden furniture to a high standard.
  • Interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Work from CAD drawings and liaise with design teams where required.
  • Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble, fit and finish furniture products ensuring excellent quality standards.
  • Assist with prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Work closely with production colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Support quality control processes and ensure products meet customer specifications.
Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner Position Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner, Furniture Maker or similar.
  • Background within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience working with CAD drawings; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of woodworking machinery and production processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive and proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence advantageous but not essential.
Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner Position Remuneration:
  • £35,000 - £40,000 dependent upon experience.
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
  • Overtime available.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
