Our client specialise in waste management and are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their engineering team supporting site operations and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure management and operational teams are kept updated on issues
  • Oversee repair and maintenance activities carried out by the shift team
  • Repair plant equipment including fabrication of essential components where required
  • Maintain working knowledge of MRF and baler electronics
  • Diagnose baler hydraulic systems
  • Operate fire pumps and isolate zones where required
  • Complete contractor permit documentation
  • Ensure contractors hold valid site inductions
  • Maintain working knowledge of controls across baler, MRF and plasterboard facilities
  • Support basic repair work on Tomra systems
  • Manage stock including bearings, electrical items and consumables
  • Keep the MRF in a clean and serviceable condition
  • Ensure daily checks are completed and issues reported
  • Promote and maintain Health & Safety standards across the MRF

Requirements

  • Experience working within an MRF environment preferred
  • Single phase or three phase electrical qualifications or experience is essential
  • Hydraulic experience is essential
  • Welding skills are essential
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to work
  • MEWPS certification advantageous
  • Forklift licence advantageous
  • First Aid at Work qualification preferred
  • Fire Marshall qualification preferred
