Junior Estimator Job Overview
- Assist with preparing competitive tenders from construction drawings and specifications
- Measure and take off quantities from technical and construction drawings
- Support the preparation of rates and estimates under the guidance of senior Estimators
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist with reviewing tender documentation and preparing submissions
- Raise technical queries with clients and design teams where required
- Support the management of multiple live tenders at different stages
- Attend tender review and project handover meetings

Junior Estimator Job Requirements
- HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Relevant construction industry experience may also be considered
- Placement, trainee or site experience within construction, groundworks or reinforced concrete would be advantageous
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
